Welcome to the Division 11, District 1NR Web Site
Serving Cape Cod MA, Nantucket & Martha's Vineyard
Welcome Message from Vice Division Commander Jeff Thomas and Division Commander Tim Howell
We are pleased to welcome you to our website!
The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is comprised of dedicated volunteers who generously contribute their time and expertise to support the U.S. Coast Guard in a wide range of missions, except for direct law enforcement activities. These volunteers play a vital role as a force multiplier for the Coast Guard, all while fostering community engagement and promoting boating safety. Their commitment to service significantly enhances the overall capability of the Coast Guard to safeguard our waterways and support the public.
This website is designed to be a valuable resource for both our Auxiliary members and the public. You’ll find easily accessible information through the tabs on the left-hand side, particularly covering the following topics:
How to Join Us: For those interested in becoming a member, general information can be found under “Join Us.” Additionally, under the “Flotilla” section, you can find links to locate a Flotilla near you. Importantly, you do not need prior military experience or to own a boat to join. Membership is open to all citizens of the United States and its territories who are at least 17 years old.
Vessel Safety Checks: We offer free Vessel Safety Checks to provide you with peace of mind, ensuring that your boat meets the minimum safety standards.
Boating Courses: We encourage you to explore the variety of boating courses available, including popular options such as “Boat America,” “Boating Skills & Seamanship,” and “Suddenly in Command.”
Thank you for visiting our website. We look forward to your engagement with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary!
